The following ESS (Energy Storage System) Areas have been added in R&D areas of HYLOT;

- Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES)

- Liquid Air Energy Storage (LAES)

The above ESS technologies can be used as back-ups of main energy storage technologies (such as hydrogen liquefacton and synthesis) from renewable energy.
